Mammoth Cave

On Cedar Mountain there are many sites to look at and have fun with. One is Mamouth Cave. It is a pretty good hole in the ground similar to a lave tube. Too many visitors to get a pix so here is the best we could do.

More on the treasure hunting June Saturday

Here is Duck Creek, Utah. This is were Grandpa Wilford Bentley finished out his career as a US Forest ranger. He live and worked right here.

Puerto Penasco

Peurto Penasco Christmas 2007

Our Family at Thanksgiving 2006 made the decision as we would be all together for 2007 Christmas. 23 family members were too many for one household hence we made plans to find a childrens home in Mexico and we would have a true Christmas as one large family. Work progressed and we found the Esparanza Childrens Home in Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point) Mexico. The family began to collect childrens toys and gifts as well as make fleece blankets for each of them. As the process proceeded Pajamas and shoes were also procured. Enjoy the pictures of our Journey of Love to those precious children of our Heavenly Father.

The last minute little buck

The 2007 Deer hunt was one of great weather and ever so mighty hunters. Aaron, Ryan and Papito combed the hills around Kanab for the eleusive buck. Of course Ryan without a license had the first chance. Papito and Aaron were on a big hike and Popps had to be rescued by Ryan and the Rhino. Monday was a hard hunt with no bucks to even drool over. Tuesday Aaron chose not to shoot and let the old man have the first shot. Well Papito missed at close range. As Aaron and his family went back to Saratoga Springs, Papito went back out by himself Tuesday evening. He was home by 6pm as luck and convergence met with the last minute little buck. Papito did it the old fashoned way with the 1940's model Marlin 30-30.

The Bentley Bichon Family

The Bichon's are quite the family. Grandma Gracee does all she can to avoid the puppies...Momma Jewels is mostly tired of nursing them but is still watching her brood very carefully. The puppies are now 6 weeks old and will hopefully be finding homes in a couple of weeks.

The Hunt For Lowder Creek

The Hunt for Lowder Creek Saturday 7-7-7 we loaded up our picnic and fishing gear and to the north we went. We stopped at Panguitch Lake and got bored real quick. We decided to see if we could find a little creek we fished on when we were college students at Southern Utah University some thirty years ago. In the mind it could be visualized but how to get there exactly was not clicking. We took a few side roads but nothing looked right... We finally got to Cedar Breaks and in the Visitor's Center we found a National Geographic map that showed it. The Park Ranger guided us a little a off course but we found a beautiful little creek but it was not Lowder Creek but we had fun and caught a few beautiful little brookies.
